Team Registration & Fees
- This year's event is being on Saturday, June 6, 2009 at Vanier College in St. Laurent for the benefit of The Sainte-Justine Hospital Foundation
- This year, we are offering two choices of time slots:
1) MORNING (8:30 AM – 2:00 PM)
2) AFTERNOON (2:30 PM – 8:00 PM) - Within each sub-tournament, there are different levels of difficulty
a) Beginner - (1-2 players are can play good volleyball)
b) Intermediate - (3-5 players can play good volleyball)
c) Competitive - (all 8 players can play good volleyball) - ** NEW THIS YEAR** we are expanding the event to include outdoor beach volleyball as well as indoor gym volleyball. In case of very poor weather conditions the day of the event, the outdoor beach volleyball tournament will be re-scheduled to Saturday, June 13, 2009 from 12 PM – 5 PM to the indoor beach volleyball facility 365 Beach Volleyball Center (visit www.365volleyball.ca for more details).
- Registration is on a 1st come 1st serve basis based on payment received
- Payment can be made by PAYPAL(credit card) or by paying cheque written out to the Games for Hope Foundation and mailed to:
918 Rue Des Clematites, Laval, QC , H7Y 0A7 - Each co-ed corporate team must register 8 (eight) players of which at least 4 (four) players should work for the company registered
- Registration fees are $20 per person and are non-refundable
- These registration fees are not eligible for a tax receipt since there is something of value is received in returned (i.e. gym time, team poster, etc...)
- However, 100% of the net proceeds from this fundraiser are remitted to The Sainte-Justine Hospital Foundation and are specifically earmarked to purchase medical equipment for children admitted for heart-related operations
- Each team registered will get 1 (one) personalized team poster and each member receives an personalized team thank you photo card
Fundraising
- In order to reach our event goal of $200,000, we are strongly encouraging each team that registers to raise $1,500. This works out to an individual fundraising goal of only ~ $185 per person.
- Company donations and/or sponsorships as well as team fundraisers (i.e. bake sales, etc…) can be included in the team goal of $1,500
- Our fundraising team will support you in terms of ideas and promotional materials
- Plaques are awarded to the top 10 individuals and the top 5 team fundraisers
