Autistic children can highly benefit from the therapeutic contact with a trained dog. The remainder of these funds were given to the Starlight Children's Foundation of Canada, who has been dedicated to improving the quality of life for children with chronic and life-threatening illnesses and life-altering injuries by providing entertainment, education and family activities that help them cope with the pain, fear and isolation of prolonged illness.

The amount of $119,000 raised at this event, as organized by The Games for Hope Foundation, represented an impressive achievement since during this recession year we still managed to surpass the $110,000 raised in 2008. In addition the Greek Dancing competition during the halftime show, there was the "Outdoor, Food, Fun & Games Tent" that also served up plenty of fun such as: Foosball, The Kiddie Corner including arts & crafts and some other incredible inflatable games
